On his day was a genius the things he did.

Top 10 goals stands alongside the greatest ever.

Still doesn't beat Frankie Mac coming on as a sub and netting a hat-trick

Re: Matt Le Tissier
And so it was written.

Came on as sub (I think) and scored the last goal at The Dell. Think I heard that he never played at St Mary's.

Re: Matt Le Tissier
Was it him who scored a hat trick for the England B team but then didn't get picked for the full team?

Can also remember the 3-3 I think he got a couple in that.

Re: Matt Le Tissier
I was at that game Bernie, the last time on the North Bank and I'm sure his equaliser prevented them from going down

Re: Matt Le Tissier
That last game on the terraces was 3-3, i think we ran on the pitch at 3-2, players came back out and Le Tissier scored a brilliant free kick

I wasn't around for Le Tiss, the best opposition players I saw at UP were Roy McFarland, defender and Pop Robson, striker

George Best as well obviously

Takashi Miike 8:13 Fri Oct 2
Re: Matt Le Tissier
one of the best opposing players to play at upton park and another completely wasted by the England set up

The sort of player the national side should have been built around. The most gifted English player I've ever watched play the game

Came on against us at the last home game with terraces and was the best player at UP that day my a country mile!

Re: Matt Le Tissier
Remember the Saints turned us over 4-2 at Upton Park in the late 90's.

The ball got stuck up in the gutter on the East Stand, cue all the cheering, Le Tissier, was on the touchline standing by the old West Stand. The replacement ball was thrown to him. He then pinged it over to Steve Lomas, who was standing by the East Stand touchline and Lomas didn't move a muscle and the ball was straight in his hands.

All the fans (WHU included) gave him a round of applause because just a touch of class.
